On June 20, on the occasion of the World Refugee Day, the Front of the Communist Youth (Italy) promoted a rally in Rome outside the seat of the Italian Government and Chamber of Deputies. The demonstration had as its principal message to emphasise the responsibility of the imperialist policies of the Italian Government, UE and Nato over the political and economical reasons that force millions of people to leave their country. Policies such as Frontex, that are responsible from the death of thousands people drowned in the Mediterranean sea, also were condemned.
Furthermore, the FGC demanded a public immigrant reception policy so to contrast the control over migration flows on the part of mafias and criminal organization, that make profit at expenses of the immigrants.
Trade unions were called to join the struggle against immigrant labour-force trafficking and exploitation on the part of big agricultural companies and big landowners, to break the downward competition over labour-force price and labour rights between italian and immigrant workers. On the skin the sweat has the same color!
